  AMIGA GUARDIAN 1.0
Author: CopperByte Games   Verified: Sep 29, 2026   id: 6093
Amiga Guardian is a snapshot and recovery utility exclusively for the Commodore Amiga — think System Restore on Windows or Time Machine on the Mac, finally on the machine that deserved it first. WHAT IT DOES Guardian takes a snapshot of the files you tell it to look after, and puts them back exactly as they were — a single file, a drawer, or an entire drive. The point is to make trying things safe. Install a program, edit your Startup-Sequence, let an installer do whatever installers do — and if it goes wrong, go back to the snapshot and the machine is as it was.

  Avalanche Revolution is Here!
  Author:   Verified: Oct 03, 2026   id: 6090
Avalanche is an unarchiver GUI using the ReAction toolkit for AmigaOS3.2 and 4.1. It supports xad, xfd and Deark so can extract and decrunch most files it encounters. Any unsupported files can be added via a xad module. Version 4 represents a large GUI refresh. The file selector and buttons have been replaced by a unified toolbar, taking up less space and presenting a cleaner more modern design. These can use both internal four colour images or external AISS (or AISSClassic) full colour imagery.

Elite Cities In Development by Amitopia AmiDev Team
Author: AmiDev Team   Verified: Oct 03, 2026   id: 6092
For 40 years we’ve asked: why did Amiga never get a real city builder? SimCity classic was ported, Utopia tried, but nothing like Cities Skylines that used Amiga’s power. Today AmiDev Team fixes that. Introducing ELITE CITIES — BUILD • MANAGE • THRIVE. A new indie Amiga game that starts where SimCity ends and where Elite II: Frontier begins.

  Where Were They Now?
  Author:   Verified: Oct 09, 2026   id: 6107
Power Computing look like a pretty obscure company. How obscure? As far as I can tell, they only released three games Breathless (1995), The Big Red Adventure (1997), and Red Mars (1999). All three were released for the Amiga after Commodore had declared bankruptcy. Unless you know differently, there's not even a cover online for the Power Computing version of Red Mars That's all pretty darn obscure. Here's the Rod Serling-type twist, the company is still trading successfully today.

Windows 3.0 vs MacOS, AmigaOS and TOS: the 1990 desktop battle that changed computing
  Author:   Verified: Oct 04, 2026   id: 6094
In May 1990, Microsoft released Windows 3.0, a product that was not quite an operating system, not quite stable, and not quite the future its advertising wanted people to believe it was. And yet, in the strange, practical, occasionally ridiculous history of personal computing, it became one of those releases that divided time into before and after.
