A/NES CGFX - The Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for AmigaOS
  Author: A/NES CGFX   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 683
A/NES CGFX is a NES-emulator for 680x0 based Amiga-systems. It emulates the basics of a Nintendo Entertainment System (8-bit), and does it pretty well. Full speed emulation is not unusual even on slower Amigas. Except AmigaOS, it requires a 68020 processor or better, some Fast-mem and CyberGraphx V3+ (Picasso96 CyberGraphx emulation doesn't work at the moment, sorry!)

{{ARCHIVED}} This is the Studio 16 mailing list's Frequently Asked Questions and their answers. The purpose of the FAQ is to be a resource on answers and information. Its secondary purpose is also to prevent questions from being asked over and over again. The FAQ is very small at this time, but hopefully this will change in the future.

  Adventureland
Author: Adventureland   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2035
This site tries to list all adventure games (interactive fiction) produced over the years. When I say "adventure", I mean text adventures and their graphical decendants, but I don't include RPGs. For a more detailed description of what's included here and not, see the FAQ. Adventureland is located at http://www.if-legends.org/~adventure/. Besides there is a mirror maintained by Hans Persson. if-legends.org is a non-commercial project devoted to adventure games. If you have comments on the layout or find bugs in it, please let me know about it. If you are interested in getting mail each time these pages are updated, you can subscribe here.

  AHX
Author: Abyss   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 174
AHX is a protracker-like music editor that was designed especially to create C64-like synthetic tunes. There is no support for sampled instruments as chip tunes are made to be as small in size as possible. So an average AHX tune has a length of about 200 bytes - 5 kbytes (unpacked). All waveforms of the C64 are supported: Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and White Noise. Also Hi-/Lo-Pass filtering effects are supported (ring-modulation is hopefully to come in AHXv3).

  AirSoft
Author: Airsoft   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1759
Airsoft Softwair is the developer of first class applications which are mainly for Amiga computers. The products include such popular programs like Akiko (Win32), CD32 Games Install Kit, NewInstaller, Rainboot or the compilation CD-ROM Best Of Airsoft Softwair Gold Edition but also many Freeware programs and little tools. Airsoft Softwair has been supporting the Amiga community with fine software for over 6 years now and we are still enthusiastic about the Amiga like we were on the first day. Our future products will most likely also support the new AmigaOS4 but also alternative operating systems such as MorphOS and AROS.

Welcome to the homepage of Airsoft Softwair. Airsoft Softwair is how I call myself when writing programs, mainly for the Amiga computer. It formerly was a group of several Amiga users but they all moved to the PC so I am the only one left doing something under the name Airsoft Softwair. On this homepage you can find nearly all the things I've done for the Amiga computer and also some small programs for x86 PCs. You will also find all of my Shareware programs and the possibility to order them online. The famous The Best Of Airsoft Softwair Gold Edition CD-ROM can also be ordered from this homepage. Feel free to sign the guestbook and enjoy your visit on my homepage for the Amiga community now!

  Aleph One/SDL
Author: Christian Bauer   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 16
Aleph One is an Open Source 3D first-person shooter game, based on the game Marathon 2 by Bungie Software. It supports, but doesn't require, OpenGL for rendering. Aleph One was originally a MacOS-only game, but I'm working on a cross-platform version based on the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) library, that should eventually run on all systems supported by SDL (Linux, BeOS, Windows, MacOS, Solaris, IRIX, *BSD, and others).

Specialists in software and website design. Creators of DWaRFx, Ultimate Gloom, Zombie Massacre and others. Just for the record, Alpha Software are still Alive, and kicking! :-).. A lot of you have been emailing Alpha Software asking about the status of 'The Dead Walk' and our attempt to gain the rights to port 'Resident Evil'. Well, at this moment in time The Dead Walk has not been cancelled, it is still progressing. However it must be said that all programmers and graphic artists now have full time jobs, not in the Amiga industry. That's why its taking an age to produce.

  Amarquee
Author: Håkan Parting   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1475
AMarquee v.54 is a mechanism. With it Amiga programs, Java-applets/applications and ARexx scripts on multiple computers may easily communicate data to each other in a many-to-many, "broadcast" fashion. It consists of two parts, an inetd daemon for the server computer to run, and a Java-package for client computers to run. In addition to functions to connect to the inetd daemon there are functions to wait for connections on a port and also connect to other TCP servers, like web-servers and so on.
