Infinite Icons 1.5: An Invitation to the Modern Redesign of the Workbench Visual Experience
Author: retrotechycafe   Verified: Oct 06, 2026   id: 6105
A little over a month ago, I got in touch with Jari Tuovinen, the person behind JT Digital Designs, regarding Infinite Icons 1.5, a product I have been following since publishing my review of AmiKit X13. My interest did not arise by chance. Over the last few months, I have been exploring different ways of modernizing the visual experience of the classic Amiga, especially after equipping my Amiga 1200 with a PiStorm32-lite. Thanks to the use of OmniPort, this setup provides a clean digital output to Full HD monitors, allowing Workbench to run at resolutions and color depths that would have seemed unimaginable for the platform only a few years ago.

  MagicMenu 3
  Author:   Verified: Aug 15, 2026   id: 2436
Enhanced Intuition menus - pop-up, sticky, transparent - for AmigaOS 2.04 and newer. MagicMenu 3 is a new and improved version of the utility that has been replacing Intuition's menus since 1993. Every setting that decides how a menu looks can now be different for pull-down and pop-up menus.

MagicWorkbench Review (Amiga Computing 82, January 1995)
Author: Nick   Verified: Sep 05, 2026   id: 6005
The world, its brother and their cats have all by now seen MagicWB. For those still left who haven’t, MagicWB is a rather incredible package that will make your Amiga a much nicer place to work. “Sweeping generalisations are dangerous”, so people say, but in this case the generalisation holds true. MagicWB is a collection of 8 colour icons, patterns, documentation and a few support programs which in itself doesn’t sound revolutionary. It’s when you see the quality of these icons and patterns that you get some idea of just how “useful” MagicWB is. (Editor’s note: written in November 1994, and published in Amiga Computing as my first review for them)
