  Amiga Ireland: Online
  Author:   Verified: Aug 09, 2026   id: 2360
A one-day online gathering to make up for the cancellation of our usual annual event. Since the global pandemic has unfortunately left us no choice but to cancel our planned 2021 gathering in Ireland, we are planning a shorter and slightly more casual gathering online. Ticket fees go towards the running of the 2022 event. The day's schedule will be announced in January. Note: this online event is not the same as the now-cancelled 2021 event (i.e. we haven't just moved the event online). This is an less formal gathering for us to get together, talk, have an interview or two and some hi-score gaming competitions. There may be some workshops. 2021 plans have been postponed to 2022 and will take place in Athlone, Ireland.

  Author: n/a   Archived: 2003-12-28   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 631
{{ARCHIVED}} Welcome to our user group web site. Our Amiga user group (Full name: Amiga Online Israel User-Group Network) is the only one of its kind in Israel. Though the numbers of Amiga computers in Israel is pretty small (due to bad marketing on the account of Commodore Computer and its importers and marketers in Israel) we believe that with the introduction of the Amiga OS 4.0 and 5.0, and with our help in spreading the news and persuasion, the Amiga could really become a hit in Israel like it was in Europe. Good source for history and information.

  Amiga: The A-Expo Review
Author: Nicholas Blachford   Verified: Jul 30, 2026   id: 1608
I haven't been in the Amiga scene for quite some years now as I have long since left for the shores of planet BeOS. However I recently had the chance to re-enter the Amiga World at an Amiga show in the South-East of France when I went to meet a potential employer - after being "discovered" on OSNews! You'd think that a computer which hasn't shipped in years would have a small dwindling community. If you thought that well, you'd be wrong. This show dwarfs the BeOS BeGeistert shows I go to in Germany. Yet, Begeistert is for all of Europe and held every 6 months, this was just one French Amiga show and they are held around Europe nearly every week.

Picture report of the Benelux Amiga show 2001
Author: Mike Bouma   Archived: 2001-10-06   Verified: Sep 14, 2026   id: 1914
{{ARCHIVED}} Date 4 July 2001 - Amiga`s CEO Bill McEwen and Amiga`s CTO Fleecy Moss have done their best this last year to inform every Amiga user around the globe about Amiga`s big plans. They demonstrated new Amiga technologies and presented new projects with their partners at various Amiga shows held across Europe, the US and even Australia. For the 23rd of June Fleecy Moss and Amiga`s major AmigaOne partners also planned to present the new AmigaOne computer in my own home country the Netherlands. The Benelux Amiga Show was being held in Rotterdam and I was curious to see how many Amigans would show up as it was years ago when such a big Amiga-only event was planned for the Netherlands. I was amazed that over 400 visitors visited the show! So were the organizers (Dutch computer shop ComputerCity and the Dutch Magazine AmigaScene). They may want to look for a bigger building for next year`s show. :)

{{ARCHIVED}} << Archived Link >> The Siouxland Metro Amiga User's Group (SMAUG) was created by three Siouxland residents to promote the Amiga series of personal computers in the Sioux City area. With an overwhelming number of IBM PCs and clones in the marketplace, the poorly promoted Amiga, although vastly superior, has been overshadowed to the point that almost no one has even heard of it! Realizing the superiority of the Amiga, Darreck Lisle, Aaron Wendel, and Bob Akerberg decided to start SMAUG in an effort to support any existing Amiga users in the area, and to get information about the Amiga out to the general public. Our newest member is Shawn Huff who joined SMAUG in May 2002.

  The Belgian Amiga Club
Author: Simon Vergauwen   Verified: Sep 14, 2026   id: 2200
The Belgian Amiga Club is a group for "Amiga enthusiasts". The Amiga is a family of (retro) computers originally introduced by Commodore in 1985. The Belgian Amiga Club was founded in 2003 by Simon Vergauwen and Dirk Baeyens, with the goal to bring together what was left of the Amiga enthusiasts out there, after the bankruptcy of Commodore and the various failed takeovers that followed, which ultimately resulted in the disappearance of all active Amiga user groups in Belgium.
