  Amarquee
Author: Håkan Parting   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1475
AMarquee v.54 is a mechanism. With it Amiga programs, Java-applets/applications and ARexx scripts on multiple computers may easily communicate data to each other in a many-to-many, "broadcast" fashion. It consists of two parts, an inetd daemon for the server computer to run, and a Java-package for client computers to run. In addition to functions to connect to the inetd daemon there are functions to wait for connections on a port and also connect to other TCP servers, like web-servers and so on.

AmIDE - The Amiga Integrated Developer Enviroment
Author: Jens Langner   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 642
Many compilers on the amiga platform haven't got a graphical interface and also no very good project managment. That's the point where AmIDE should change your life in developing software for the Amiga™ platform. Our goal is to provide all developers, regardless of which compiler they use, a good structured graphical project management with a smart interface to each compiler. It will also be possible to have different projects that are using different compilers/debuggers. AmIDE will keep track of your depency files and give you the ability to add/remove depency files without changing any makefile or such a thing.

amix-kerntools — the Amiga UNIX kernel build hub
Author: jusii   Verified: Sep 17, 2026   id: 6061
Amix is Commodore's port of AT&T System V Release 4 (SVR4.0) UNIX to the 68030 Amiga (the A3000UX and A4000). amix-kerntools is the build hub for a family of MIT-licensed device drivers for it: it owns how an Amix kernel is built. It discovers driver repos by their driver.conf, generates the SCSI controller-selector wiring, applies each driver's kernel patches, links the kernel, and runs a clean-gate that defeats an intermittent emulator linker-corruption bug. It ships no driver source (those live in the sibling driver repos) and no Amix — you bring your own licensed Amix 2.1 install. See AGENTS.md for the driver-author contract and REPOS.md for the ecosystem map.

Greetings, and welcome to the new AMOS Factory web site. After years of little attention being paid to the AMOS Factory I've finally decided to give it a major face lift and a life of its own. I've installed a database driven content system called Post Nuke. I've added most of the functionality of the old AMOS Factory site to this new interface. Please feel free to explore and let me know of any bugs or if you have any suggestions--I really appreciate feedback. My hope is to make this an area for all people interested in AMOS to communicate and learn. Thank you for visiting, I hope you feel welcome here.

GZIP'D TARS. A lot of this stuff is very old. dice-1.15.tgz - 68000 C compiler suite. This is the DICE C compiler suite which I wrote as shareware for the Amiga in the early 90's. I no longer do any development work on this project but there seem to be enough people still in need of it, including myself for some old commercial projects, that I decided to wash it off and report to run on a BSD or Linux host.

AROS - The Amiga Research OS
Author: Aaron Digulla   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 508
Some time back in the year 1993, the situation for the Amiga looked somewhat worse than usual (doesn't it always?) and some Amiga fans got together and argued about what should be done to increase the acceptance of our beloved machine. Immediately the main reason for the missing success of the Amiga became clear: it was propagation - or the lack thereof. The Amiga should get a more widespread basis to make it more attractive for everyone to use and to develop for. So plans were made to reach this goal. One of the plans was to fix all bugs of the AmigaOS, another was to make it an OS of the 90s. AOS was born.

AutodocViewer scans through your autodocs (Commodores and any other autodoc) and locate names to all functions in every autodoc. Then you can click your way into the function you want to see. AutodocViewer is highly intuitive, easy to use and a must for all developers. And EasyAssign and Middle button: a small commodity which remaps the function of the middle mouse button.

DICE C Compiler for the Amiga
Author: neozeed   Verified: Sep 01, 2026   id: 5995
While there were several great C compilers for the Amiga when it was a viable platform, the one left standing today is GCC. Which is fine and all, but it is rather large, and unwieldy. Â And won’t run on a computer with 2MB of RAM (In the off chance that I want to run it on the 600). But that is when I found out that the source code (dice.com has moved!) to old DICE compiler is available!

DICE C Development System (Amiga Computing 85, April 1995)
  Author:   Verified: Sep 01, 2026   id: 5996
Since last April, some Amiga developers have been a bit nervous. The reason? SAS decided to drop the Amiga version of SAS/C, effectively removing one of the main development platforms on the machine and leaving users of the system with bugs that will not be removed. However, all was not quite lost; Matt Dillon’s shareware compiler called DICE was gaining so much support that it was decided to really work on the thing for version 3 to create the ultimate C package. This was no small undertaking and hence the package has moved to the commercial world under the wing of Obvious Implementations Corporation.

Author: Dimitris C. Keletsekis   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 599
What it is : Gui4Cli is a simple interpreted, event-driven language (no need for previous programming knowledge), which allows you to easily construct great-looking, resizable, font-sensitive GadTools GUIs which (among many other things) can be used to form command lines that can be sent to AmigaDOS or an ARexx port of an other program, for execution. It has many other capabilities too, things like directory & database listviews, maths evaluation, graphics, timers, commodities, file notifications, pipes, appicons etc. etc. With it you can control just about any aspect of the Amiga. Think of it as "Visual DOS".

Most are downloadable from the manufacturers own homepages. I just thought it would be better to put them all in one place.

  Meet StAHG, the (St)andard (A)miga (H)elp (G)uide
Author: David Crawford & AmigaZone   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1821
StAHG is a simple ReAction based tool created for the purpose of making an Amiga's collection of help files easier to access. Naturally, the first question to come up is, "What help files?" The answer is, "Exactly!" Or, if you prefer, all those Help Files all over your hard drive.. StAHG fixes both problems in one whack. StAHG builds a list of all of the documents found in the "Help:" assign and its subdirectories (.doc, .dok, .txt, .guide), then creates "Workbench.guide" in the propor location to satisfy the requirements for the "undocumented feature." Once run, "Workbench.guide" is available to the OS, and StAHG does not need to be run again (unless you want to update your "Workbench.guide")

  MUI Classes
Author: Jocke 'Zerohero' Sjöblom   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1946
Welcome to the MUI Classes page. I've had this idea for quite a long time now, but I've been too lazy to actually work on it. I mainly set this page up, because on most mailinglists I've been on people were complaining that it's hard to know which versions are the latest of all the MUI classes that's around. I thought I had a pretty up to date system, and with some basic knowledge of HTML, this page was born. I don't claim to have a perfect list of classes, but I do believe in most cases that these are the latest available, except for those cases where there are no archives released, just the .mcc (and the .mcp) in some other archive along with some application. There are also links to the homepage of the author, where I've found one, and it's fairly recent.

Powerful programing language. Full featured. Lots of support. Well developed.. It is simple, I wanted to use fpu, but AmigaE didn't work with it directly, so I used bettermath modules (by Michal Bartczak) and later I did my own fpu modules, but it was quite frustrating when I wanted add a to b to use a function. All that time I got an idea to create my owm programming language, because I was sure that AmigaE will never use fpu and newer processors.

What is Oberon? Oberon is both a programming language and an operating system developed by Prof. N. Wirth and J. Gutknecht at the ETH Zurich. The programming language Oberon is an evolution of the well known predecessors Pascal and Modula-2. Oberon features the established principles of separate compilation with strong type checking even across module boundaries. The module concept provides for information hiding. In contrast to Modula-2, the definition modules are not explicit, but generated automatically by a Browser tool. The browser operates on the compiler respresentation of the module interface.

TUMULT- The Unofficial MUI custom class list
Author: TUMULT   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1943
TUMULT is an acronym for "The unofficial MUI custom class list" and that is exactly the contents of these pages. There are two main purposes for this list. First of all it should make it easier for normal users to find and download needed custom classes and secondly it should provide a quick reference for developers who need a certain custom class. The list will only contain classes which have been registered as described on the registrationpage. This means that the completeness of this list will depend solely on the willingness of all custom class authors. Hopefully you will all support this initiative. Unsupported classes or classes which is no longer being developed might be added to the list without the consent of the author - especially if it is not possible to contact the author.

Spare parts for Programmers The goal of the ubiqx project is to develop a set of clean, small, re-usable code modules which implement fundamental constructs and mechanisms, and to make them available under the terms of the GNU Library General Public License (LGPL). These are the little training wheels that keep getting re-invented; the small parts in that drawer in the kitchen. It's those things that are always in your way when you're looking for something else, but are never there when you really need them. Our goal is to be the good neighbor who always seems to have the missing flange-screw or cup of sugar that you need when you're in the middle of a project.
