  Amiga NG
Author: Vincent Perkins   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 491
If your a fist time visitors, this site is dictated to covering all information on the next generation of Amiga`s. With the imminent arrival of the Amiga One, Amiga OS 4.X and Amiga DE, the future of Amiga has never looked healthier. All these products need a web site to report on them, and this is just one of them. AmigaNG started way back in Feb 1999 to cover news on the Amiga MCC (later cancelled), it is now one of the longest running next generation site. Its not official, and is not sponsor, but is done out of momentum. Enjoy the site.

Amiga revs OS, wins more phone blessings
Author: Andrew Orlowski   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 680
The rejuvenated Amiga company, Amiga Inc., this week released the a feature list for the latest version of its OS, bringing support for the recent hardware to the platform. AmigaOS4 - it's alloneword, you see - is being developed on old 68000-based Commodore Amiga 4000s (running PPC cards), but it's a transitional release that already runs on the nominated platform of the future: PowerPC. The shell, the GUI and the TCP/IP stack are already native PPC code.

  Amiga Siamese System
Author: Robert   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 128
These pages are dedicated to supporting the Amiga Siamese System developed by Siamese Systems Ltd (previously known as HiQ Ltd). The purpose of these pages are to promote the Siamese System, whilst "telling it like it is". By this I mean no hype, no bullshit - just the facts as I see them. I would like to make it clear that I have no connection with Siamese Systems Ltd, but I simply believe in this excellent product. Unfortunately it seems that Steve has given up on the Amiga market and Paul has lost interest, now concentrating his efforts on Photogenics 4.x.

Amiga The Online Israel User-Group Network
  Author: n/a   Archived: 2003-12-28   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 631
{{ARCHIVED}} Welcome to our user group web site. Our Amiga user group (Full name: Amiga Online Israel User-Group Network) is the only one of its kind in Israel. Though the numbers of Amiga computers in Israel is pretty small (due to bad marketing on the account of Commodore Computer and its importers and marketers in Israel) we believe that with the introduction of the Amiga OS 4.0 and 5.0, and with our help in spreading the news and persuasion, the Amiga could really become a hit in Israel like it was in Europe. Good source for history and information.

  Amiga Translators' Organization
Author: ATO   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1512
Amiga Translators' Organization was created because for a long time, programmers who wanted translations for their programs would either have to post "Translators wanted"-mails onto newgroups and mailing lists, or they must use translators they knew. This was of course annoying to some users of the mailing lists and newsgroups, it would not give the programmer as many translators as possible, and last, but not least, the programmer didn't have any quality assurance of the translations done by his translators. ATO was then built as being an organized pool of translators. We want to make programmers' lives as easy as possible by offering many translators for a wide range of languages, and still offer the quality assurance. This quality assurance is done through the proofreading concept which you can see here.

  Amiga Translators' Organization RUSSIAN DIVISION
Author: Oleg Sergeev   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1684
ATO is an abbreviation for the «Amiga Translators' Organization», i.e. an organization to support translation (localization) of Amiga computer programs. We are a non-profit organization; ATO is a union of people from many countries who spend their own time for the benefit of all Amiga users. Below you may read about the details of our work, Organization's structure, tasks, purposes etc. in the following chapters. Just a note here that this is a short document; you can get full information on the ATO main homepage.

  Amiga WebLink
Author: Jesse McClusky   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1874
Where WebLink comes in is the existing Amigas. It provides a complete set of programming tools on top of the existing OS. These tools allow programmers to start getting used to the features of the next-generation operating systems in a more gradual way. It also provides some of the features of next-generation systems, such as more global interoperability, OS-version independance, complete modularity, and a high degree of flexibility.

  Amiga X86
  Author: n/a   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1989
Amiga x86 - The Product. X86 Amigax86 is the name of a product that combined product known as Umilator (formerly known as "Amithlon") emulation with the Amiga Operating System (v3.9). This was to be a standalone product release by Extreme Computing that combined all available programming done by Bernt Meyer, with license from Amiga Inc., and several other software developers to give you the following on a single CD product: Umilator Emulation Layer, Amiga OS3.9, Improved Graphics Drivers, Improved Sound Drivers, Improved Ethernet & Modem Drivers, and the list goes on.. ImageFX (Full version 3.x), Several high end games. A plethora of Amiga Utilities (both AmigaOS & x86-enhanced, even an AmigaDVD player which worked great...) More x86 enhancements for full functionality of notebooks & other space saving technology. (We were so close!)

  Amiga's Grand Plans Revealed
Author: Jim Louderback   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1802
11 Nov 2002 - With stories about the new Amiga shipping spreading across the web, including here on ExtremeTech, I thought it would be worthwhile to sit down and talk about these, and other developments with Bill McEwen, the CEO and President of Amiga, Inc. McEwen is a long-time computer industry veteran, but his past stretches beyond the PC industry. In the nineties, Bill ran sales and marketing at database vendor GenSoft, and then worked at ConnectSoft, ending up as business unit director for Internet related applications. ConnectSoft produced the popular product Email Connection, one of the first cross-vendor email clients, and Kid-Mail Connection – a version designed for children.

  AmigaAnywhere Tutorial - Part 1
Author: Nicolas Mendoza   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1690
Ok, first off, there are several reasons why I'm writing this. Firstly because I've missed something like this myself, secondly I know a lot of you guys want to code for AmigaAnywhere but haven't because you think it's difficult getting started programming for AmigaAnywhere. Maybe because you haven't programmed before. Maybe you're too lazy to read a lot of documents just to get started. Look for Part 2!
