  Convergence International
Author: Convergence International   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1629
Welcome to Convergence International, the user group for non-Wintel platforms. Convergence International\'s mission is to promote and provide information on alternative non-Wintel computer platforms, allowing people to make an informed choice about what hardware and operating system is best suited to their requirements. We believe that if a time comes when one single platform is the only one in use the computer industry will suffer. Without competition there is stagnation, and no one platform can hope to be best suited to every application. While there are alternatives development is spurred on by competition, and people are free to choose the platform which best suits their needs.

  Copperline
Author: LinuxJedi Andrew Hutchings   Verified: Aug 05, 2026   id: 2307
An Amiga emulator written in Rust, built around a vendored copy of the pure-Rust m68k CPU core, with a pixels + winit window for video and stdout for serial. {...} It covers OCS, ECS, and AGA (independent Agnus/Denise revisions, programmable blanking, machine profiles from the A500 to the A1200, CDTV, and CD32, with Gayle IDE, A2091 SCSI, and the AGA display path: 8 bitplanes, 256-entry palette, HAM8, FMODE wide fetch; remaining gaps are recorded in the internals docs).   Cycle-driven · OCS / ECS / AGA · written in Rust. Cycle-driven means the whole machine advances on one colour-clock timeline - CPU, DMA, Copper, blitter, all of it. Built around that core: a debugger that steps backwards, a chip-bus frame analyzer, and byte-identical record and replay.

  Cursor set: Amiga
Author: Andreas Aronsson   Archived: 2020-03-22   Verified: Aug 03, 2026   id: 2289
{{ARCHIVED}} I have made a set of cursors based on one Amiga cursor (can’t find my reference image right now…) that I use on all my Windows machines (which, ehem, is all I got right now). The cursors are orange with a white highlight and black shadow, making them visible in as good as any environment. Here I also included a green version, which might be preferred by some.

Dear Amiga Inc., Could I Make a Few Suggestions?
  Author: Roger M   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1734
I have watched the progress of the "new Amiga" (OS and hardware) over the past couple of years. Given the past history of Amiga, I am happy to see that the company has been taken over by true fans of the Amiga OS, who have a workable vision. In general, I think you came up with a good overall strategy: editorial notice: All opinions are those of the author and not necessarily those of osnews.com

  Depth
Author: Depth   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1535
Depth is an AMIGA SCENE group which was formed by a bunch of crazy danes with the wonderful AMIGA, and demos especially, as their main hobby, in July 1993. These guys met in the now very lame rooms of a local computer club, and Depth was the result of some discussions and thoughts of forming a scene group, inspired by people from Balance (Wolfman, Scope, Connor, Wreko, TNT! & Motion) who were also visiting the same computer club, as well as GNU Design (Firebird), Shadow World (Wez, Gilthanas, The Guru) and quite a lot of other people in and out of the scene.

  dfx:Amiga - PC floppy interface
Author: dfx   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1415
Compatible with Amithlon, WinUAE, Classic Amigas, hopefully AmigaOne. There will be 2 options available: Dfx with Option 1 Classic Amigas to enable PC HD floppies as DF0: (requires KS3.0,020 or >) DFx with Option 2 Amithlon/WinUAE able to read and write Amiga floppies. How it Works: Pass thru PCB with 34Way Header on one side and 34Way Socket on the Other. Also Uses 5V power from the floppy connector which is also passed thru. The chip polls at 2 sec intervals to test for disk insertion. Hopefully Amithlon can make use of this feature so that when the Disk Requestor comes up it will auto read like a true amiga.

You can find about 88Mb of sound clips and full length mp3's in the sounds section and you can find 1000's of verified files at the MP3 Masterlist. The files on our server are mostly sound clips (from TV and movies) and are not "illegal, copyrighted music files" such as the RIAA is endeavoring to restrict. Now, on with the show!
