  AmigaOS and POP/PPC hardware petition
Author: Emanuel Mair   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1350
Welcome! AmigaPOP.8bit.co.uk is the official web site of the AmigaOS and POP/PPC hardware petition to Amiga Inc. If you follow the links to the right, you'll find an introduction to why the petition was started, answers to frequently asked questions, related news, links, some noteworthy comments from signatories and others, and last but not least the petition itself. We, that is the hundreds (so far ;)) of signatories and the petition author, hope that you will join us and show your support for AmigaOS, for the right of AmigaOS users to choose their own hardware and their own hardware vendors, as well as for an independent and undivided POP/PPC hardware market. *** NOTE *** to send me an e-mail to e@ANY.DAMN.SPAM.mair.com (I don't want "ANY.DAMN.SPAM.", so remove that bit).

amix-kerntools — the Amiga UNIX kernel build hub
Author: jusii   Verified: Sep 17, 2026   id: 6061
Amix is Commodore's port of AT&T System V Release 4 (SVR4.0) UNIX to the 68030 Amiga (the A3000UX and A4000). amix-kerntools is the build hub for a family of MIT-licensed device drivers for it: it owns how an Amix kernel is built. It discovers driver repos by their driver.conf, generates the SCSI controller-selector wiring, applies each driver's kernel patches, links the kernel, and runs a clean-gate that defeats an intermittent emulator linker-corruption bug. It ships no driver source (those live in the sibling driver repos) and no Amix — you bring your own licensed Amix 2.1 install. See AGENTS.md for the driver-author contract and REPOS.md for the ecosystem map.

  AMP - Amiga Music Preservation
  Author: garnier jean-baptiste   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1619
What is AMP? AMP Project was started in the year 2000 but gradually grew during several years to what it currently is. Read in the following paragraph how it was started and what we are planning to do out of it. There is a meaning behind the three capital letters: "AMP", it's all for you to read! Have fun.. All About AMP.. Association for Amiga Music Preservation (AMP) is a non profit association that consists at present of two persons: Crown & Curt Cool. It's likely some assistant join us in the near future. What Do We Do? We are running the most comprehensive, complete and precise database we can about amiga music. That means that we gather all the music but also information about & interviews of amiga musicians. It's a huge project as you can see. But we are motivated! The point isn't to make money nor to spread tunes to everybody but to make sure time won't make disapear this part of our common memory.

  Andy Warhol Interview
Author: AmigaWorld Magazine   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 688
The thing that I like most about doing this kind of art on the Amiga is that it looks like my work. - Long term Amiga users will remember the unveiling of the Commodore A1000 on July 23rd 1985 at the New York Lincoln Centre. As part of the demonstration of the Amigas ability Commodore invited Andy Warhol to create a portrait of Debbie Harry, lead singer of Blondie using Island Graphics Graphicraft. This was accompanied by a full score synthesised by Roger Powell and Mike Boom, author of Musicraft.

  ARTAS
  Author: M.Albrecht and T.Wenzel   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 146
ARTAS is both a concept and a system component. It allows applications to use "any" kind of data is their input and output without knowing about the contents or structure of the data stream. Parsing and interpreting of data contents is done by external modules called "driver modules". Each stream can be divided, mixed, time-synced etc by attaching "codecs" and "plugins" to it. ARTAS deals with Audio, Video, MPEG and any other kind of data that links an abritary number of data blocks.
