  Amiga NG
Author: Vincent Perkins   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 491
If your a fist time visitors, this site is dictated to covering all information on the next generation of Amiga`s. With the imminent arrival of the Amiga One, Amiga OS 4.X and Amiga DE, the future of Amiga has never looked healthier. All these products need a web site to report on them, and this is just one of them. AmigaNG started way back in Feb 1999 to cover news on the Amiga MCC (later cancelled), it is now one of the longest running next generation site. Its not official, and is not sponsor, but is done out of momentum. Enjoy the site.

  Amiga PSU Meanwell RPT-60B
Author: Jani   Verified: Aug 05, 2026   id: 2315
I had two broken Amiga PSUs and wanted to replace the contents with a modern powersupply, Meanwell RPT-60B seem to be used frequently so that was my primary choice. I also wanted to keep the modification nondestructive and found 3D printed mounting brackets to accomplish this. Even though both PSUs had the same partnumber, the innards were not the same and needed two different brackets.

  Amiga unveils next-gen hardware spec
Author: Tony Smith   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2212
Amiga boss Bill McEwen announced plans to provide new Amiga hardware not long after he bought the company off previous owner Gateway, and this weekend the company released the basics of the AmigaOne's spec. Of course, AmigaOne isn't a shift back toward the heady days of the mid to late 80s, when Amiga, then part of Commodore, was a hardware company. The system is primarily designed to provide both a launching platform and showcase for Amiga's networked home-oriented OS, the Amiga Digital Environment. It's secondary role is as a sop to Amiga die-hards whose credo is 'once a hardware company, always a hardware company'. From a product strategy perspective, McEwen's Amiga is little different from previous versions of the company - the focus remains on the software; even the release says "Amiga is a software company, not a hardware manufacturer" - but with AmigaOne, he is at least paying more than lip-service to the glory days.

  Amiga's in Home Automation?
Author: Jim Hines   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 103
This article is not to promote the Amiga in anyway, nor do I work for Amiga Inc. It is also not meant to be a comparison with other systems, although a few comparisons may be used to make a point. I am simply a more-than-happy user who wants to share my experiences with using the Amiga in a home automation (HA) environment.

  Amiga-Digital-Video
  Author: c0pperdragon   Verified: Aug 09, 2026   id: 2382
Add pixel-perfect HDMI output to the Amiga machines. For all Amiga versions that have a socketed DIP Denise chip, a rather small adapter board can be used to extract the digital video signal (12 bit) to a 40-pin connector compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero. This can then be used with the RGBtoHDMI software to produce a perfect HDMI picture with very low latency (a few milliseconds at most).

  AmigaOne A1222 Plus Goes Wireless
Author: Ktadd   Verified: Oct 05, 2026   id: 6097
If you have read the earlier posts in this blog, you'll be aware that the goal with my AmigaOne A1222p is to create a one power cord plugin portable system. The last piece to accomplishing this goal was to eliminate the need for a LAN cable to connect to the internet. To accomplish this I have tried two different Wireless to LAN adapters, both of which accomplish the goal with some pros and cons for each device

  AMPlifier LCD Output
Author: Kato   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 118
LCD-Ausgabe is an expansion for MelodyNG and even plain Amigas. The goal of this hardware is the display and control of AMPlifier without using a screen. Time played, name, ID-3 Tags etc. is additionally visable at a 4x40 Dot-Char Display (picvue). Another possibility besides connecting it to Melody's controll bus is the use of Amiga's build-in Parallelport (as shown above)
