  GTA 1 Ported to Amiga!
  Author:   Verified: Aug 30, 2026   id: 5986
August 2026 – A developer has released AmigTA1, a native 68k port of the original 1997 Grand Theft Auto for AmigaOS. Yes, you can now cause chaos on a real Amiga. What is AmigTA1? AmigTA1 is a native port of GTA 1 to AmigaOS 3.x. It is not an emulator. It runs directly on 68020+ CPUs with AGA graphics. The project reimplements the game engine to work on classic Amiga hardware. A community developer has ported the original Grand Theft Auto 1 from 1997 to run on classic Amiga hardware.

  Gui4Cli
Author: Dimitris C. Keletsekis   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 599
What it is : Gui4Cli is a simple interpreted, event-driven language (no need for previous programming knowledge), which allows you to easily construct great-looking, resizable, font-sensitive GadTools GUIs which (among many other things) can be used to form command lines that can be sent to AmigaDOS or an ARexx port of an other program, for execution. It has many other capabilities too, things like directory & database listviews, maths evaluation, graphics, timers, commodities, file notifications, pipes, appicons etc. etc. With it you can control just about any aspect of the Amiga. Think of it as "Visual DOS".

  Hacked Amiga Music (HAM)
  Author: Amadeus/Shelter   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2032
Hacked Amiga Music (HAM) introduced the ripping scene to Open Ripping the 26/10-98, and shut down after 65 100% fresh and Hard2Rip releases the 28/8-99. I'm very satisfied with the result of HAM. My goal was a site, where my rips were released right away, and where the ripping techniques were open! It seamed that other than myself liked the ideology, so within short time was HAM the fastest ripper site.

Author of Asokoban, LazyMines, MultiPuzzle, NewMasterMind and Yahzee. I have owned an Amiga since 1989. Nowadays it is buried in a box with other Amiga stuff in my parents' house, and I do not think that I will find time to do any serious programming on it anymore. Listed below are, mainly, the fruits of my most active years (1993-1996).

Here is a collection of Hardware Drivers for various Amiga boards. Although this software is downloaded from my server I cannot be held responsible if you Amiga stops working/dies/blows up/your sister goes weird etc. after using any of these drivers. Most are downloadable from the manufacturers own homepages. I just thought it would be better to put them all in one place.

  hollywood
Author: Andreas Falkenhahn   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1758
Hollywood is the Multimedia Application Layer for Amiga(tm) and compatible operating systems. This means that it offers you a script language together with advanced functions that allow you to create your own multimedia applications which range from a simple slideshow to a complex game. The big advantage of Hollywood is, that it does all the framework for you. You do not have to care for example, if your application is going to run on a ECS, OCS, AGA or RTG system. You do not have to care if the Workbench screen your application runs on has 16 or 16.7 million colors. You can concentrate yourself on the important thing which is your application and not its enviroment.

How to Make a Zip Disk bootable
  Author:   Archived: 2000-10-18   Verified: Aug 24, 2026   id: 5991
{{ARCHIVED}} If you install your Zip Drive following the recommended procedure you will not be able to boot from it. This is not a limitation of the drive itself, but rather a feature of the way HiSoft have decided to handle the problem of removable media on the Amiga. The Amiga has no Graphical Interface for mounting and unmounting Removable Media. This means that in order to mount an removable device on the workbench you must either use a public domain program such as SCSI-Probe, or use the command line to issue "mount" and "diskchange" commands.
