  Weird Amiga 1200 Issue Repaired
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4961
  In the last week, an Amiga 1200 was dropped off at my workshop to be repaired. That isn’t unusual, but the faults were unusual enough that I thought I should blog about them. The Problem... Just the motherboard was brought to me, and I was told that it would work for 15 minutes and then crash to a black screen. Sure enough, when I tested it, I could only run it for about 15-20 minutes at most.

  Weird Ones: 30 years of Brainfuck
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4406
  Brainfuck (from now on BF) turns 30 this year. This puts it in the same league as Python (32), Java (28) and Haskell (33). I remember the first time I had heard about BF. It was in my college dorm while talking to my roommate. I was pre-med at the time, and had only the faintest idea about programming. So when I first laid eyes on its syntax I hadn’t the faintest idea why someone would ever subject themselves to it. Now many years later I’m a programmer in my own right, and I find myself writing about a programming language I once balked at. Funny how life happens that way

  Welcome to AmiGUS!
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5400
  AmiGUS is a modern high quality sound card for the Amiga. {...) By supporting established frameworks such as AHI and MHI, we ensure that the card is compatible to a wide range of already existing applications. In addition, the card's true power lies in its highly sophisticated wavetable engine, which provides a powerful feature upgrade to PAULA, supporting 32 true hardware voices using 32 MB of sample memory. The good news is that, in order to use these features, you don't need a fast CPU. AmiGUS can be used on ALL Amigas with a free Zorro Slot, since all of the computational heavy-lifting is performed by the hardware acclerated functions on the card.

  Welcome to Capitoline
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5175
  At it’s core Capitoline (Cap) is an Amiga kickstart editor, but like any software project, it’s grown arms and legs, added features which may or may not be useful to everybody. Main features: You can load ROMs in various different formats, decrypt, extract from ADF etc. Once loaded you can take a ROM apart, “ROMSplit” into modules then you can put a new ROM together “add” from these modules or other ROMs and ADFs. You can patch ROMs to change text or behaviour. You can save ROMs for burning to EPROMs (byteswap, interleave, split). You can create skick files for softloading Kickstarts or use within WHDLoad {and much more}

Watch Jack Tramiel talk up the Atart ST, Amiga developers demonstrate true multitasking and basic programming. We see signs of MetaComCo, a light that shone so bright, so quickly.

  The information resource for the Commodore Amiga. Welcome to the classicamiga wiki site. This Wiki provides information, tutorials, FAQs and guides about the Amiga and Amiga emulation. It has been created to help the Amiga community, and Amiga users, find out and explore as much about the Amiga as they can. Initially the existing articles from the main classicamiga.com site's FAQs and Tutorials section have been ported over to the Wiki, and then this Wiki will be fully replacing that section of the main site. This will allow this part of classicamiga to grow and expand with member participation. We hope you all find this Wiki useful. Please post comments, feedback, ideas and suggestion on the classicamiga forum.
