I've noticed MANY people are also having problems with manuals for their hardware. They don't know how to install something, because the don't have the jumper settings, or are missing some relevant info from the manual. I've decided to start a web page for that HERE. Have you ever lost an install disk for a piece of hardware, and then realize that the company is bankrupt? Ever had a cool day, and found a cheap accelerator for that old a1000, but don't know where to turn for the software? Well, here's the place! Take what you need, and send ANY software or manuals for hardware here, so others may benefit too! Hard_Drive_Controllers, Misc_Hardware, Ethernet_and_Serial, Accelerators, Audio, Video_Cards & Manuals. |

A reimplementation of the 'Installer' utility included with AmigaOS as of version 2.1. InstallerLG aims to be fully compatible with the original as described in the V44.10 documentation. Most resource limitations found in the Commodore implementation are gone, and the GUI has been replaced by a MUI / Zune based one. |

So, AmigaOS 3.2 is available, at the moment as a physical installation from selected resellers. No matter your opinion of Hyperion, I hope people are at least in favour of supporting the resellers who keep the Amiga dream alive by purchasing the CD (yes, CD!) and any rom chips needed. |

To celebrate the 1000th article of Obligement, Carl Sassenrath returns through this long interview on its origins at Amiga Inc. in the 1980's (Manager of AmigaOS and Amiga CDTV system development, among others), the bankruptcy of Commodore, its passages at Apple Computer and Viscorp, Amiga NG, or on its new revolutionary language REBOL. A great name of Silicon Valley! |

The Amiga is one of my all time favorite computers and a chance encounter via the Museum of Computing, where I volunteer, offered the opportunity to interview Dr Tim King and his wife Jessica about their important contribution to the release of the ground breaking Amiga 1000 computer. Without the TRIPOS operating system the Amiga's launch would have been seriously delayed. I am very grateful to Tim and Jessica for allowing me to take up so much of their time on the day of the interview. This was my first multi-camera, multi-mic interview! I hope you enjoy this fascinating interview. |

The process of researching the last article: “Stepping Into Other Worlds”, the history and products of Virtual Reality Laboratories, Inc. – produced more questions than it answered. One particular title: Distant Suns, has a particularly rich history. It’s author, Mr. Mike Smithwick has graciously agreed to provide us with deeper insight into his title. 30 years on, Distant Suns is still giving star gazers their own planetariums. |
