External CPU adapter for A500, specially designed for Pistorm, it will work with others accelerators too, BUT (a big but), some accelerators are not designed with bus takeover function so they might not work with the internal cpu plugged in. This board distribution is based on my LAZARUS BOARD and not based on someone's else design. |

We spoke with pixel artist and programmer Jim Sachs about everything from Defender of the Crown to virtual aquariums. American Jim Sachs is one of the true greats in the area of classic pixel art. He is particularly known for his work on the Amiga, where he was responsible for the graphics in one of the platform’s most important system sellers, Defender of the Crown, as well as Ports of Call, which was a favourite here in Norway. However, his career didn’t end there, and if you were impressed by virtual aquariums around the turn of the millennium, it was probably his fish you were looking at. |

Commodore and Atari legend Leonard Tramiel kindly gave up some of his free time to answer some questions from our Adrian. He discusses his time working at both companies, developing the Jaguar and Jaguar CD as well as the ST and the canned Panther. He also gives an insight to working with his father, the amazing Jack Tramiel. It’s a lovely read with a true gaming pioneer, enjoy. |

Hi 8-bit friends, today we’ll talk about another mighty computer of the 80s: the Amiga by Commodore, one that I really love (I still have my original 500 model bought when it came out). In my case, for example, I want to keep the real Amiga machines as safe as possible: an emulated one comes really handy for this purpose, and also it’s really easy to take it on the road, since the two ingredients are a Raspberry PI (here I use the RPI 3 model B, but other RPI models are supported as well) and a Linux distro called Amibian. |

It supports loading of Excel (xlsx), Libre/OpenOffice (ods), ASCII (csv) and TurboCalc (tcd) files. You can export the tables to Excel, Libre/OpenOffice, ASCII, HTML or wiki tables. Because it’s written with FreePascal for Amiga systems with MUIClass GUI Toolkit, it is available for all Amiga Systems: |

INTRO: This library was designed as an all-in-one system to be able to make games and to be able to allow easy ports for our AmigaOS4 system. EGL can be implemented on multiple operating systems and now on native AmigaOS4. Implementations may also choose to allow rendering into specific types of EGL surfaces via other supported native rendering APIs (here OpenglES 2.0 for AmigaOS4.x). |

We spoke with Simon Turner at Plaion about their range of replica consoles, such as TheA500. Plaion is the distributor of modern replica consoles such as TheC64, ThA500 and the forthcoming The Spectrum. We had the opportunity to ask Simon Turner, who is UK marketing director and responsible for global marketing of the retro division at Plaion a few questions. We discussed the inspiration behind these consoles, about getting the rights to old games, and their plans for any future releases. |

The basic permission bits (protection bits in AmigaOS) have been broken in Linux' AFFS - it would only set bits, but never delete them. Also, contrary to the documentation, the Archived bit was not handled. Let's fix this for good, and set the bits such that Linux and classic AmigaOS can coexist in the most peaceful manner. |
