This module emulates and is pin compatible with the 27C400 4 Mbit (512Kb x8 or 256Kb x16) EPROM. The 27C400 UV EPROMs have compatible pinout with ROMs used in many computers and electronics from the 1990s. The Commodore Amiga 500/A600/A1200 and Acorn A3020/A4000 all used this ROM pinout. The module can be used as a drop in replacement for the ROMs in compatible systems. |

Abstract: Mosaic and HTTP daemons have greatly improved the utility and aesthetics of the internet by allowing people to express themselves, and to receive and transmit information through a consistent, powerful and attractive interface. There is, however, one important respect in which most current implementations of Mosaic limit user creativity: the program's capabilities are not extensible by the user, except through the relatively awkward addition of external MIME viewers and the use of a simple signal mechanism that allows it to be told to display a new URL. |

Using a PC oriented keyboard, and especially, one with a touchpad, can present challenges when used on an Amiga. In this blog, I'll outline the challenges, and present my solutions to make this keyboard very usable with the A1222 Plus. Many of these tips apply to other keyboards with other models of computers running AmigaOS4. |

So, in this entry, I'll provide an in-depth review of MediaVault v1.5.1 written by George Sokianos, who has made many great contributions to the AmigaOS4 community. I'll also cover using it with mediavault script version 1.6, which I wrote to allow choosing an audio player or saving the stream via a requester. MediaVault v1.5.1 is an AmigaOS4 program that allows you to search for and play streaming radio stations as well as podcasts. |

Right at the beginning, when the MiSTer FPGA project was released, I bought all the needed components to build my own MiSTer setup. I had to wait in a long queue before I had a while to finally build it. However, it started a bit differently this time... with iPad LCD screens. |

UtilityBase is a site focused on development for AmigaOS, Amiga hardware, Amiga clones and other related systems, this includes but is not limited to systems like AmigaOS 3.x, 4.x, MorphOS, AROS or AmigaDE/Anywhere. Since they share APIs, technology and/or ideology it is only natural to have a common ground to discuss and learn about them. The site provides tutorials, documentation, news and reviews related to Amiga development. In addition, it has a forum for communicating with other developers, helping eachother out, sharing tricks, code or ideas. |

Presented here is a simple circuit that allows PC floppy disk drives to be used with the Amiga and with the V2.5 design, the Atari ST/TT computers. This design only supports double density disks. You can fit a high density drive and use it with double density disks without problems. |

Vamos is a tool that allows to run AmigaOS m68k binaries directly on your Mac. It emulates the AmigaOS by providing implementations for some functions of the Exec and DOS library. It will run typical console binaries that do not rely on user interface (intuition) or graphics stuff. Its main focus is to run old compilers and assemblers to have some sort of “cross” compilers. This approach will not run any applications or games using direct hardware register access – for this a machine emulator like P-UAE is the tool you will need... |

I finally got around to installing my new Vampire 1200 v2 accelerator into my Amiga 1200 and it works great! A Vampire that actually works for me, finally! As regular readers will know, I have had plenty of issues with multiple failed Vampire 500 and 600 installations over the years resulting in a few broken Amiga systems, lost money and a lot of unhappiness.
