MHI Dev - The new standard in MPEG audio
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3286
MHI is a new standard for MPEG audio on the Amiga. It was created by Thomas Wenzel and Paul Qureshi, with help from Dirk Conrad, because current systems (mpega.library and the mpeg.device) do not offer the features modern applications such as AmigaAMP require. This archive contains everything you need to develop programs using MHI and MHI drivers for new hardware or software decoders. Please support MHI, we really think it's the best possible solution for playing MPEG audio on AmigaOS!

Microsoft Sunsets Amiga’s Killer App: Internet Explorer
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4719
It’s been nearly 27 years but, as life teaches us, all good things must come to an end. On June 15th, Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer on all desktop systems, including its launch platform, the Commodore Amiga. Microsoft tweeted the news yesterday from its official @MicrosoftEdge account. In the poignant tweet, the Redmond software giant bade farewell to its venerable web browser, stating with some sadness, “Now, it’s time to surf the big web in the sky,” while marking the woeful moment with an animated image of IE’s orbited-“e” logo, centered on a glowing blue screen which fades out to darkness on an Amiga 1000 computer.

  Mingo's Commodorepage
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3835
{German} Welcome. Welcome to my site! Did you also have a Commodore 64 or an Amiga? Then you know that these "machines" were something special or are still. Like many others, I still deal with the C64 and Amiga. With this page I made it a goal to remember the good old Commodore computers. Under "Collection" you can view my modest Commodore collection. In the guest book you can get rid of praise and criticism. Would you like to help improve this page? No problem. Report error, add items or send us information for new database entries. And if you just want to see what Commodore is there, have fun browsing!

  Minimig
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3212
Minimig (short for Mini Amiga) is an open source re-implementation of an Amiga 500 using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Minimig started around January 2005 as a proof of concept by Dutch electrical engineer Dennis van Weeren. He intended Minimig as the answer to the ongoing discussions within the Amiga community on implementing the Amiga custom chipset using an FPGA. The project’s source code and schematics were released under version 3 of the GNU General Public Licence on 25 July 2007.

  MiniMig
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5696
The MiniMig is a re-implementation of the original Amiga chipset, used in the A1000 and A500 using modern technology. The motherboard is designed using FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) - a method of programming hardware to operate in different ways, even mimicing the operation of other hardware. MiniMig is the brainchild of Dennis van Weeren, a Dutch electrical engineer, who developed it as a cost effective method of running Amiga software, without the need to source original Commodore hardware.

Minimig compatible Toccata 16-bit sound card
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5032
This is a module emulating the playback functionality of the Toccata sound card for the Commodore Amiga. Toccata sound card. The module is written in SystemVerilog, and is intended to be used in the Minimig core. It was not possible for me to get an actual Toccata sound card, or find the documentation for the sound card. This module is implemented by reverse engineering the Toccata sound card emulation of UAE, and looking at the OpenBSD driver. The Toccata sound card uses the AD1848 audio chip, the AD1848 data sheet was used to implement the indirectly exposed registers to the zorro II bus.

MiniMig Project: an interview with Dennis Van Weeren
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5695
Amiga in an FPGA : Minimig – stands for (very originally ) mini Amiga. Aim is to built a complete OCS A500. But with some extra grunt and features like 4Mbyte ram and fast 68000 processor) on a circuit board about the size of a floppy drive. I must be honest. When I met Dennis for the first time at this year’s Codex, my first feeling was a mix between general puzzlement and happiness. I could but wonder I was not in front of an old and weird hippie. A hardware geek with long hair and even longer beard, wearing some silly t-shirt and thick glasses.
