  Amiga Hardrive backup via WinUAE
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5827
So I’ve been happily using a 2GB SD card inside my Amiga 1200 for a while now but I’m finding that I need a little bit more storage than this card will provide so I’ve opted to swap this out with a 4gb card. However, my Amiga won’t detect SD cards that are of the SD SDHC type (which most SD cards over 2gb usually are these days). I’ve been struggling to find a 4gb non SDHC type card and it seems that the best option is to ditch SD cards altogether and go for CF cards instead. Cheap IDE to CF adaptors are abundant on eBay and brought one a few days ago.

Amiga Memory: A Computer That Shaped Us
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5878
{Translation: German} Did you know that Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung (EAV) wanted to control their light shows with an Amiga? Yes, you read that right! "We tested it technically and it worked," I still say with a smile when we talk about the old days. Stories like that show how revolutionary the Amiga was. In this article, I'll take you on a journey through personal memories, quirky details and special moments that make the Amiga an unforgettable classic. And my favorite computer to this day.

Amiga Models & Clones / Commodore: CDTV
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5663
The CDTV was Commodore's attempt to build a multimedia entertainment station. It was designed to run interactive entertainment software or be used to manage multimedia displays, such as point of information terminals. The CDTV was also supplied with a wireless infrared controller. The CDTV is fully Amiga compatible and is capable of running the same software as conventional Amigas. Some versions of CDTV motherboard may have been upgraded by Commodore, so you may find a different revision mentioned underneath the sticker.

Amiga motherboard project to add NVMe SSD boot support and a driver for the onboard Ethernet - Mirari project hopes to ‘breathe new life into the next-gen Amiga platform’.
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5177
Amiga fans have several projects to watch as we near the end of 2025. Today, we're looking at the intriguing Mirari, a new mainboard that is designed to “breathe new life into the next-gen Amiga platform.” The developers are several prototypes in and currently refining drivers to prepare the Micro-ATX form factor Mirari for a mid-2026 release. Amenities will include NVMe, USB3, PCIe slots, SATA (via card), and FPGA custom logic - all in a convenient Micro-ATX form factor. Expect to pay about $600 to $700 (€500 - €600) for this AmigaOS4 and MorphOS platform when it is ready.

Amiga on MTV: "Shades" by House Of Usher (1992)
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5751
Another nice example of how the Amiga was used as a low-cost video production workhorse. According to an article in a 1993 issue of "Amiga Kickstart" magazine (see links below), the music video for House Of Usher's techno track "Shades" was created on an Amiga 500+, using DeluxePaint IV. And you don't need glasses to immediately recognize somehow familiar colors and shapes. This looks very much like a production from the Amiga demo scene, only the sound quality is better, and the animation clips are more random.

  Amiga OutRun
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5415
What Is This? An optimized port of SEGA's 1986 arcade game OutRun, utilizing the original 68000 assembly code, to mid-spec Commodore Amiga computers. Whilst small compromises have been made to accommodate differences between the arcade hardware and the Amiga - this looks and plays almost identical to the original. This is not an emulator. Nor is it based on Cannonball, MAME, or any existing project. It is a ground up rewrite in assembler, with a focus on performance.

Amiga Programming In 2025 With AmiBlitz
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5419
Having owned an Amiga microcomputer is apparently a little bit like having shaken hands with Shoggoth: no one can escape unchanged from the experience. Thirty-two years on, [Neil] at The Retro Collective remains haunted by the memories — specifically, the memory of BlitzBasic 2, an Amiga-specific programming language he never found the time to use. What better time to make a game for the Amiga than the year 2025 of the common era?

  Amiga Reviews
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5535
Welcome to Amiga Reviews - a site devoted to the Amiga, its games and magazines that have reviewed them. What is this website about...? I am an avid videogame magazines collector collecting magazines since 1989. Back in 2000 my old mags from the Eighties started to fall apart and I decided to preserve them by converting game reviews to HTML. This website contains 7811 reviews of 2375 games for the Amiga home computer that originally appeared between 1987 and 2000 in seven mags I regularly bought: Amiga Computing, Amiga Format, Amiga Joker, Amiga Power, CU Amiga, ZERO and Zzap!
