Retro-link.com started as a small community of like-minded individuals with a keen interest in retro computing. We created a message forum that encompassed not only retro computers, but also retro cars, retro television, retro everything. Recognizing that we each had some great stories to tell, we decided that a blog would better suit our needs. This blogspot blog, retro-link.blogspot.com, represents the blog offshoot of the original project. If successful, it will replace the original retro-link message forum, and the domain name will point here. Meanwhile, stay tuned for some great stories! |

Who are we? For a very large group of enthusiastic users of retro computer hardware (such as Commodore, Atari, Sinclair ZX-Spectrum, and 386 / 486PC), we are looking for hardware modifications to maintain and update these retro computers for the current time. The focus is on computers, but you can also think of older Synthesizers, samplers, etc. We are constantly looking for new applications that we would like to make available to you. |

Our main goal is to document all the different releases of each game for each platform. Although there are many good websites for retro enthusiasts, most of these tend to focus on game titles and not releases. A collector will find it interesting to know exactly which releases there were of one game, and in many cases there can be quite a lot for one game alone - different media, packaging and regions. Furthermore we want this site to become a main information hub for identifying whether your release is complete or not. Our requirement is that a game does not exist until there is an actual picture of the box and its contents and we also want a cropped cover scan/photo for each title. |

[retrohax] has provided vintage computer guidance for years, and part of that guidance is this: sometimes using paint as part of restoration is simply unavoidable. But the days of tediously color-matching to vintage hardware are gone, thanks to [retrohax] offering custom-mixed spray paints in Amiga 500 Beige, C-64 Beige, and ATARI ST/SE Grey. (At the moment only delivery within Poland is available due to shipping restrictions, but [retrohax] is working on a better solution.) |

RetroEZ is a community orientated online store, focused on helping people of all levels enjoy the retro gaming computer experience. We are also working towards opening a true bricks-and-mortar shop in the near future; with the goal of eventually bringing the Amiga back to the High Street. {...} We are a group of 40 something year old Amiga 600 focused users who originally got back in touch via the Amiga community during the first lockdown. It reignited a passionate hobby for us all and after helping various other friends and forum members, has turned into a small business that we are proud to be a part of. At Retro EZ we have invested heavily into supporting new product lines as well as manufacturing our own products, which right from prototype production stages through to bulk manufacturing, have been designed with the Amiga user in mind. We hope you will join us on this exciting journey and support us in sharing our products and services with like minded community users. Thank you. The Retro EZ Team. |

In 1986, a group of NASA engineers faced a difficult choice in solving their data processing woes: continue tolerating the poor performance of PC architecture, or pony up the cash for exotic workstations. It turns out that the Commodore Amiga was an intriguing third choice, except for the fact that, paradoxically, it didn’t cost enough. Oh, and Apple wanted nothing to do with any of it. |

We are proud to offer the RetroTINK-5X Pro, our first FPGA-powered device that introduces a few landmark accomplishments for bridging retro consoles to modern TVs: The first automatic optimal phase algorithm to produce the sharpest image with zero adjustments needed beyond selecting the base mode. The first custom developed FPGA-based Motion Adaptive Deinterlacing algorithm specifically for games to make 480i titles shine without adding lag or flicker. The first high resolution (1080p and above) video scaler that is capable of covering virtually all analog inputs: composite, S-video, component and RGB out of the box. {and more} |

When you're discussing video game history, it's often the case that memories will be dominated by consoles like the NES, SNES, Mega Drive / Genesis, N64, GameCube and so on – but those old enough to have lived through the '80s will remember that for a period of time, home computers like the C64, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum and Commodore Amiga were a perfectly legitimate way of playing games outside of the arcade. |

BRIEF DESCRIPTION. A high-density disk floppy disk drive. The internal version may replace the internal drive on an Amiga 500, 600, or 1200. The external version connects to the external floppy port. The disk drive comes with a patch program that must be run in order for the drive to be able to write high density disks. |

The RGBtoHDMI interface converts the "digital" RGB video signal from vintage computers like the BBC Micro or PC MDA/CGA/EGA to HDMI or DVI compatible with most modern TVs/Monitors. The interface comprises a Raspberry Pi Zero and a specially designed Hat containing a small CPLD. Custom firmware on the Raspberry Pi, in conjunction with the CPLD, is able to correctly sample each of the supported video modes to give a pixel-perfect rendition. The HDMI output is locked to the input so there are no frame drops, repeats or tears and it also has low lag of around 4 milliseconds (less than a quarter of a frame). |
