This book ROM Kernel Reference Manual: The Coveted Addendum aims to cover all programming topics of the Amiga operating system since Release 2 all the way to 3.2. Some of the features are 30 years old and some things were added within the last few years. That is a huge span and a huge undertaking to write about all of it. This book is initially published as a PDF as it is more important to get

RTG card for less than 200 Euro for Classic Amiga
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3242
If you want to connect your Classic Amiga to most of the monitors that are available today. Then you need an RTG card for your Amiga. Also, AmigaOS becomes so much better to use. But many reasons for not getting RTG for Classic Amiga have always been the price. This is because producing a card for the Zorro slot isn’t easy and the market for it is not the same as for more modern computers. So, when I got the info about GBAPII in my mailbox. I couldn’t believe my eyes! This is an RTG card for Classic Amiga for less than 200 Euros! Getting an RTG card for your Classic Amiga doesn’t need to cost a lot. It all depends on what you are looking for.

  Run Java On An Amiga
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3717
In the modern world, we take certain tools for granted. High-level programming languages such as C or Python haven’t been around that long in the grand scheme of things, and Java has only existed since the ’90s. Getting these tools working on machines that predate them is more of a challenge than anything, and [Michael Kohn] was more than willing to tackle this one. He recently got Java running on a Commodore Amiga.

Running Amiga like OSes on QEMU
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3415
Disclaimer - These are some notes on how to run Amiga like OSes (like AROS, AmigaOS and MorphOS) on QEMU that I've written to have some up to date info on the status and help new users. All this emulation in QEMU comes without any support and it's not expected to be complete or do everything one may desire or dream about. It's not a commercial product with a roadmap or any goal and still a work in progress which may never get finished. I'm doing it for personal interest and in my (limited) free time, no donations are solicited or accepted. So don't expect it to be anything more than a curiosity at the moment and its future depends on what the open source community makes of it. Keep this in mind when trying this.

RxEnv Tools for your ARexx development environment
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2842
Coding in ARexx on the Amiga can be great fun. It's a quirky little language by modern standards, nevertheless I find it to be a highly enjoyable experience. Still, ARexx was born in 1987, and it lacks many of the comforts we take for granted when working with younger scripting languages. I've always felt that it's suffered greatly from the inability to include other scripts, allowing the programmer to build a small library of functions that can complement the built-ins. I also frequently miss a Read, Eval, Print Loop.

  RxMUI
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2999
RxMUI is the definitive solution to create GUIs in ARexx macros. RxMUI uses MUI, which is one of the best thing happened to Amiga so far, despite last strange decisions made by someone. It means you will benefit of the MUI philosophy programming in your ARexx macros. RxMUI will also introduce you in the wonderful world of the Object Oriented Programming in the most easy way, which is from a simple interpreted language like ARexx. Read the RxMUI documentation for more info. Here you may find a list of all the MUI classes and all the libraries needed to properly run RxMUI examples.

  Sam460 - PCIe pioneer
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4490
{Translated Czech} Even though the Sam460ex has been with us for almost fifteen years, it is a bit of an inconspicuous computer in the AmigaNG world. You won't find almost any blog or review about it. Maybe just a few videos on YouTube. And yet this computer is exceptional in several ways. So since I have had its latest version, the Sam460LE, since last year, I will introduce it a little.

  Sam460LE and A1222 Plus, a welterweight duel
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5014
Today, at the beginning of 2024, we are experiencing an unusual situation in the AmigaNG world. We have two entry-level computers to choose from: in 2023, ACube launched a new version of Sama460 - Sam460LE, and this year, after a long journey full of vicissitudes, AAA technology also introduced A1222 Plus. Concurrence of two computers of the same category is something completely unusual in the AmigaNG world, therefore it is often discussed which of them is which and who is better.
