October 21, 2000, Melbourne, Australia - It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the first new Amiga hardware in over 6 years. The AmigaOne, our first consumer product, will be targeted at the desktop and workstation market. Further products to follow will cover the markets from Personal Digital Assistants and upwards. All these products will run a single piece of software, the revolutionary Amiga Digital Environment (DE). We completed the AmigaOne specification three months ago, and dubbed it the "Zico". It is a specification and not a product because Amiga is a software company, not a hardware manufacturer. The ability of the Amiga DE to host itself on multiple hardware and operating system platforms frees us from hardware dependency and gives our partners and our customers the freedom to chose the hardware that best suits their needs and tastes. |

Welcome to this DokuWiki page where we (the Amiga community) help each other to create a good and up to date listing of ongoing indie Amiga hardware projects. Amiga in 2021 is still very much alive and it is actually quite remarkable how many new things are still being produced by hardware enthusiasts. |

A one-day online gathering to make up for the cancellation of our usual annual event. Since the global pandemic has unfortunately left us no choice but to cancel our planned 2021 gathering in Ireland, we are planning a shorter and slightly more casual gathering online. Ticket fees go towards the running of the 2022 event. The day's schedule will be announced in January. Note: this online event is not the same as the now-cancelled 2021 event (i.e. we haven't just moved the event online). This is an less formal gathering for us to get together, talk, have an interview or two and some hi-score gaming competitions. There may be some workshops. 2021 plans have been postponed to 2022 and will take place in Athlone, Ireland. |

Amiga was introduced to the world in 1985, by the home computers and electronics manufacturer Commodore. Even today, some people always refer to it as Commodore Amiga, while others stand for the model, such as: Amiga 500, the most significant and revolutionary creation by the company. Who would’ve thought that decades past its end there would be a rise of artwork, only made possible through the tools and softwares that Amiga has granted. The rise is coming on the NFT space, mainly with artwork made in the 80’s, which was kept to its creators until today, but also artists who are buying the available computers to make exclusive Amiga art. |

Since Java Grinder (a Java byte-code compiler) already supports the Motorola 68000 CPU with the Sega Genesis I figured it shouldn't be too hard to extend the MC68000.cxx class to support the Commodore Amiga computer. More specifically, the original Amiga 1000. |

{From a post by Lionagony over at eab.abime.net. "Last year I tried a few minutes of every game on the Amiga, SNES, MD, PC Engine and PS1 and came to the conclusion that the Amiga has the most games that I want to come back to. My main criteria were for action games that were fun and had good graphics. My final numbers were Amiga 316, PS1 232, SNES 202, MD 198 and PC Engine 69. Here's the Amiga list, could probably update it with a few more games now including Roguecraft"} |
