Gail Wellington: far more than just a herder of CATS and mother of CDTV
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5650
From the moment I first saw Gail Wellington in Dave Haynie’s “Deathbed Vigil” video about Commodore’s demise, I knew I had to learn more about her. The more I’ve learned about her, the more I appreciate what an amazing human being Gail is. I hope you’ll enjoy reading about Gail as much as I’ve enjoyed putting this post together.

Gamechangers – Jay Miner & The Amiga Computer
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5314
The story of Amiga is not just one of a forward-thinking computer design, even though that design became the standard for the systems we enjoy even today. It is also a story about the clash of industry titans, of a series of seized, as well as missed, opportunities. And, of course, there was a dramatic, last-minute, rescue.

Gameloft and Amiga Games to release 56 titles on Windows 8, WP8 before 2014
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5625
Sure, Microsoft's battle for next-gen supremacy starts in November, but those who lean on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 for their gaming just got a little something to look forward to. Gameloft is readying a total of 15 games that'll arrive within the next 12 months and launch simultaneously on both platforms. {...} The recently-acquired Amiga Games will churn out 50 titles of its own onto Microsoft's desktop and mobile OS before year's end, and could bump the total up to 500 afterwards.

  Gaming Magazine Covers From Afar
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5199
Gaming magazines can be simultaneously a challenging and an invaluable source for early histories of digital games and gaming. They were often produced and sold at low costs to make them affordable to their often young reader base. {...} These magazines offered the readers a sense of belonging within specialised communities. Understanding the homosocial aspects of the culture that, in our case, German gaming magazines represented therefore means understanding gaming magazines not only in their written contents, but also in their style.

  Gateway - The 4th owner of the Amiga: 1997 - 1999
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5481
Gateway managed to possess the Amiga for twice the time of the previous owner, yet did nothing with it. After buying Amiga Technologies in 1997 from the remains of Escom they set about developing a new system based upon the Amiga philosophy of simplicity and efficiency, coupled with close ties to digital TV technology.

  Genlock circuit operation description
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5396
One feature that space does not allow for now is the ability to have software control of pixel switch disable. Now this is done with a mechanical switch. Pixel switch disable allows the user to completely ignore background video, yet have the Amiga computer genlocked. This eliminates the problem of software having to be written with genlock in mind.

  Glad in Gladbach
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5261
I don’t usually go to many Amiga parties. In that sense, this year has been well above average, as I actually made it to three: a local retro meet-up in March, my demogroup’s annual reunion in August, and the Amiga40 event the previous weekend. I’m happy to report that the fun factor kept rising with each one, with Amiga40 being the definite highlight.

Google emulates 1980s-era Amiga computer in Chrome
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5627
Google developer Christian Stefansen on Thursday resurrected a version of the venerable computer system from the 1980s in the form of a Web app that runs in Chrome. Forty-year-olds who want to relive their childhoods or younger people who want to see just how hard their elders had it can visit the Amiga 500 emulator for Chrome online, boot the machine, and play some games.

Got my ZZ9000AX Amiga sound card running
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5688
There is a sound card for the ZZ9000 Amiga graphics card called the ZZ9000AX. It is a small soundcard that is attached directly to the graphics card. I had some problems with the ZZ9000AX. Keep in mind that I am running the card on an unofficial Amiga motherboard so that might be the case (A4000TX) and not the fault of the soundcard.

  GoVD
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5817
If you use Workbench and often run multiple programs, you know how cluttered the screen can get, making it difficult to find the window you're looking for. GoVD extends your Workbench screen to up to eight virtual desktops, making it much easier to manage your workspace. You decide which Workbench windows and programs are displayed on each desktop. Just switch desktops, and everything is neatly organized. With GoVD, you can break free from the limitations imposed by Commodore's traditional desktop layout and take control of your workspace.

Here is an early version of GraphiCraft as well as a beta version of Kickstart (v0.7). You will need to use this beta version of Kickstart in order to run GraphiCraft as well as an NTSC mode A1000 configuration.
