FACTS BEHIND THE FLASHES (The Amiga Startup Messages)
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4764
It is not unusual for a computer to try to communicate with its owner during the start-up routines. Remember the flashing of the lights on the 4040 and 8050 disk drives?

Fitting an External, Boot – selectable Gotek Drive to an A500
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4793
I wouldn’t really call this an upgrade as such, more taking advantage of the latest developments in the Amiga scene. In case you’ve never heard of it, the ‘Gotek’ drive is basically a 3.5? Floppy Drive emulator. Instead of putting floppy disks in it you plug in a USB flash drive that can contain up to a thousands Amiga Disk Files or ‘ADF’s’ (floppy disk images).

  Flashback Symposium #01
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5040
is the first event laying the groundwork for further events of this kind. The venue is relatively centrally located in Germany, making it accessible to as many vintage computing enthusiasts as possible. In the coming weeks, there will be more information about the program and a schedule. The Flashback Symposium is platform-agnostic, bridging the gap between demo parties, user meetings, and digital holiday camp. The goal is to spend 3 days seeing as many familiar faces as possible, forging new friendships, in a relaxed, entertaining, and familial atmosphere.

  FlashROM
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4957
The Amiga FlashROM solution from OnyxSoft is a OpenSource project which is intended as a drop-in solution for Classic Amiga kickstart ROMs. The project is based around the flash chip AM29F800BB from AMD (and other manufacturer). This chip can (if used in the right pin configuration) be a direct drop-in solution for the older EPROM styled chipset like AM27C400 but have the advantage to be by nature easier to work with since it's a flashrom and does not need a special eraser for UW light etc.

  Flat Panels Aren't MultiSync 3D
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4751
While I adore my NEC PC-TV151, there is one monitor that NEC shipped to our shores that may be the ultimate CRT. This one was cheap, and this one is also very, very sick. Can I cure it so that I can enjoy CGA the way it was meant to be?

Flight Simulator II - In-depth Amiga Written Review With Pics
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4544
In an office in the city of Santa Clara California, 1984, a team of designers worked feverishly on a custom chipped computer built around the Motorola 68000 processor. Many may know the story of how Jay Miner, Dave Needle, R.J. Mical, Dave Morse, and perhaps even Mitchy the Dog came together to create one of the most legendary single computer models of all time, the Amiga. Often neglected in this story telling is another legendary designer, Bruce Artwick. According to Computer Gaming World, Artwick had been plucked away from SubLogic's Illinois offices and was working just as frantically on the Amiga as any other on that team, though with a slightly different goal in mind.

Formatting an IDE Drive for use in an Amiga 500
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4903
You may have previously seen the IDE Adapters that I'd built for my Amiga 500 over here (internal) and here (external). Whilst they worked very well with FAT32 drives attached, I had no end of trouble trying to work out how to partition, format and mount as a native Amiga disk. For everything below, you'll want to use this bootdisk.

  Fresh Workbench Installation
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4710
As I go further down the Amiga memory lane rabbit hole, I ended buying a few actual real Amigas. The 600 and the 1200 both have an internal hard drive which allow the latest Workbench to be installed and booted from. Of course part of the fun in being able to do this from scratch. Turns out I’d forgotten a lot about the process, and on top of that a lot of new things have emerged since the last version of Workbench I used back in the days. For example, here I’ll be using Workbench 3.2 here so I’m not limited to any disk or partition size. I’m also installing the OS on a SD card plugged in to my TF1260 card’s IDE port so some steps below are specific to that.

  Getting the Amiga CD32 online
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4864
Yes, 59 kilobits per second of PURE INTERNET! But how did I get here? Well, follow me and I’ll show you. The basic concept is to use the Amiga’s serial port to talk to an ESP8266 running a SLIP Router, which will then link to your wifi and the internet.
