Interview: Calvin Harris on software, hardware and hit-making
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5001
Ask chart-topping, multiplatinum producer Calvin Harris for the secret behind all of his recent success and he'll answer you with remarkable honesty. "Luck! Pure and simple," he says with a grin. "I'd been sending out demos and CDs for years. I knew my stuff was good enough, but I was getting nowhere. Then, three people - my future manager and two publishers - happened to send one of my tracks to EMI publishing in the same week. All of a sudden, they were interested!

  Introducing the SMD2000 “Bushfire”
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4859
This is the SMD2000 “BUSHFIRE”, a mini-DTX sized edition of the Amiga 2000. It is designed to fit into a Silverstone ML09 case. This project was begun in July 2023 and is now nearing the end of development... The “Why?” question got asked a lot when I first told our local Brisbane group what I was doing. The short answer is because I want to and I can, and it’s led to a deeper understanding of how our machines work.

  Introducing Unijoysticle 2 A500
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5062
Unijoysticle 2 A500 is a device that enables Bluetooth gamepads and mice on the Commodore Amiga. It is similar in functionality to the Unijoysticle 2+, but with some additional features tailored for the Amiga, like: Fits in the Amiga 500 / 1200 joystick port without additional cables, New buttons: “mode” button: To easily cycle between “normal”, “mouse” and “enhanced” modes, “swap” button: To easily swap joystick ports. Useful in many scenarios, specially in the Amiga 4000 where the joystick ports are swapped. Additional LED for status: Tells whether Bluetooth pair is enabled, and in which gamepad mode is selected

ITX small form factor Amiga computer case
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4872
A computer case shaped like an Amiga 500. Externally modeled accurately from my real life Amiga 500+. Advanced project for builders that know how to fabricate some things like cables and adapt and paint parts to fit their hardware. All parts will fit a normal 200x200 size bed. The non-split IO needs at least 234x234 mm bed or similad rectangular bed, but the split versions do not.

  J o c o s e H a v e n: Problems and fixes {ARCHIVED 14 Feb 2005}
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4761
Ok folks, I'm compiling a list of what has caused flaky operation of the Amiga computers. This is a very unpopular subject with Amiga worshippers, but it should be one to pay particular attention since it can harm any product faster than obsolescence and DOES cause untold user-hours of frustrations. Flakiness affects everyone and everything from product development to end-users and especially service.

  J'AmiStore
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4877
This is an implementation of the Amiga AmiStore application in Java. The reason for implementing a clone is, because the Amiga native app didn’t let me login. (So I couldn’t buy anything.) Nobody could help me resp. tell why I cannot log in. Thus I helped myself and went into the rapid hole black box analyzing the communication between the server and the application. The result ins’t a feature complete relica. Furthermore it doesn’t bother to make it pretty with images from the offered products, etc. And it probably doesn’t behave well if errors are encounter. But nevertheless it fulfill my needs to buy stuff from the store. Maybe others can have use of it, too.

  Joydivision
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4945
This adapter was created because I missed to be able to control my old games in emulators with a real controller (Joysticks), just as they where inteded to be played =) This adapter is created as a HID that doesn't requires any specific drivers (thanks to V-USB which is used). That means that you just need to plug it in, configure your emulator to use the HID-device and start playing!

  Kalms C2P routine collection
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5020
Here is a fairly complete set of c2p routines, almost one routine for every occasion! The main aim is towards 68030-68060 processors, using CPU-only conversion, although you can find the occasional oddity in some darker corners of the archive. The main aim of this archive is to provide a fairly broad range of fast and easy-to-use c2p routines, so all other programmers need not re-invent the wheel.

Remember when computing was fun? Kooky Tech is a blog for those who enjoy the more quirky side of technology, which includes alternative operating systems, obsolete systems and new developments for classic computers and consoles with a healthy dose of nostalgia. I grew up in the home computing boom of the late 80s/90s, started on Commodore 8-bit machines, fell in love with the Amiga and continue to enjoy these systems today. Dan Wood

Legends of the games industry: Jim Sachs
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 4739
We spoke with pixel artist and programmer Jim Sachs about everything from Defender of the Crown to virtual aquariums. American Jim Sachs is one of the true greats in the area of classic pixel art. He is particularly known for his work on the Amiga, where he was responsible for the graphics in one of the platform’s most important system sellers, Defender of the Crown, as well as Ports of Call, which was a favourite here in Norway. However, his career didn’t end there, and if you were impressed by virtual aquariums around the turn of the millennium, it was probably his fish you were looking at.

  Let's modify some drives.
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5061
The trick to getting PC drives to work with the Amiga is twofold: Get diskchange to pin 2 and ready to pin 34. Then jumper the drive as DS0.
