  Seattle Commodore Computer Club
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5834
If you still like to use your Commodore 64, C128, VIC-20, Amiga 500… (Apple II, TRS-80, Quadra 700 Macintosh, Atari Falcon) whatever! You’ve come to the right place. And better yet, the whole point of this club is to get together – now back in person – and share what we’re each doing these days on these fun machines. Not currently active or have any hardware but still love checking out the machines from your youth? That’s OK, too.

Settlers 2 and Blok for Amiga in 2025
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5237
I remember when the original Settlers was released on Amiga in 1993. I was living in Alice Springs at the time, and buying most new release Amiga titles was impossible there. So I never got to play it. {...} Thanks to the efforts of some amazing coders, and using some of the more recent tools like AGABlaster for CDXL conversion of the videos included in the original, we have a version for Amiga that works on classic Amiga 030/040/060 as well as AmigaOS4 based PowerPC systems.

  Sevgi Engine
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5640

Sign in The Greatest Video Game Tech Demo Ever
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5871
{youtube} Shadow of the Beast was a groundbreaking achievement in video games. In 1989 the concept of multi-layer parallax scrolling, and 120+ colors on screen running on a stock Amiga at 7mhz was unheard of. And yet Psygnosis and Reflections made it possible. As a game - Shadow of the Beast was a disappointment, but as a tech demo? It's one of the greatest ever made. In this episode we take a deep dive into the graphics of Shadow of the Beast.

  SkidMarks, Amiga Review
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5736
Skidmarks for the Amiga was a revolutionary game, both in terms of it’s isometric view point and the fact it was written in Blitz BASIC. It offered unique graphics with seemingly 3D vehicles on a carefully textured track (which just happened to retain the skidmarks you made on it, even after exiting the course).

Sound Blaster 128 for Amiga is Possible
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5377
Amiga got Paula sound chip which is a fantastic 14-bit soundcard. But what if you want to upgrade the Amiga sound to be fully 16-bit or that you want to make multiple channel mods? Then you need a 16-bit card. Also, many soundcards for Amiga also got a DSP that can be used for playing MP3s on Classic Amiga machines with 68030 or 68040. The sb128.audio Mediator AHI driver for all MediatorPCI models for Classic Amiga supports Sound Blaster 128 sound cards.

Space War - Tobias J. Richter (Amiga Animation)
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5647
{youtube} Here's a real blast from the past! This animation was produced in 1992 by Tobias Richter using assorted high-powered Commodore Amiga computers. It may look a bit dated now but back in '92 it was real eye-popping stuff! Tobias Richter produced many fine rendered animations on the Commodore Amiga back in the day - many of which were released on disk by 17 Bit Software (a UK based PD library). {...} I hope you enjoy this video and it brings back some memories of the good old days of the Commodore Amiga.

TALKING WITH JAY GLENN MINER (1932 - 1994)
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 5873
The name badge says it all, Jay Miner, VIP, Father of the Amiga. During my recent jaunt to the A4000 launch in Los Angeles, I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Jay as he cast his fatherly eye over the next generation of the architecture he created all those years ago. We talked and ate as he reiterated the fascinating history of the secret project that resulted in the birth of a remarkable machine, which has survived mainly because of his foresight and supreme effort.

Its a software Hayes compatible modem, that old blinking music box that used to take us around the world. Theoretically you can configure and run multiple software modems on different ports physical or virtual and as such I have made this tool support that scenario. {...} Getting an AMIGA 500 online with RetroNAS TCPSer (RPI4).
