The aim of this guide is to settle if Amiga is a computer or a console. As you can see in this guide the big-box Amiga computers had graphics cards for a long time. However, low-end Amigas also have several options for making that possible. Amiga computers aren’t limited by their custom chipset at all. It never was! |

Amiga was introduced to the world in 1985, by the home computers and electronics manufacturer Commodore. Even today, some people always refer to it as Commodore Amiga, while others stand for the model, such as: Amiga 500, the most significant and revolutionary creation by the company. Who would’ve thought that decades past its end there would be a rise of artwork, only made possible through the tools and softwares that Amiga has granted. The rise is coming on the NFT space, mainly with artwork made in the 80’s, which was kept to its creators until today, but also artists who are buying the available computers to make exclusive Amiga art. |

Amiga has a long history back to 1985 with some amazing Amiga magazines released every year since then, right up to 2022. I wanted to take a quick look at that history as so much was released. |

Introduction: A little over a year ago, three enthusiastic users of both the Amiga computer and the World Wide Web decided that it was time for the Amiga to have its own version of Mosaic. The ``Three Michaels'', as we sometimes called ourselves, began the daunting task of porting NCSA's Mosaic for X to the Amiga platform. Although they did not consider this an official port, the NCSA graciously allowed us to use their source code, and the name Mosaic. Having decided to port NCSA Mosaic to the Amiga, we were faced with the job of moving some 50,000 lines of code designed to run under unix to an entirely different machine architecture and operating system. Fortunately, the Amiga Operating system has a number of features that made the process relatively painless. One such feature is the system's use of shared run-time libraries, which have allowed the developer community to produce widely used operating system extensions. |

I recently developed a popular board called RAMesses, which upgrades an Amiga 500 / 2000 / Commodore CDTV to 2MB of Chip RAM without any soldering / cutting of the motherboard. I figured I would post more about what it is and why I developed it. |

This is an attempt to make clean Verilog sources for each chip on the Amiga. Unlike MiniMig and related implementations, this seeks to maintain perfect compatibility with the whole chip and the whole chip only to serve as a second-source to the slowly disappearing stock of Amiga chips. These will be drop-in replacements. To view the plan of record for each chip, please visit the README.md for each project. |

This is a recreation of the Rev 9 Daughterboard for the Amiga 3000 This is a 4 Layer board with signal on the upper and lower layers and a Power and Ground Plane. When fabbing the board you will probably be asked if you want to remove the solder mask on the area for the Edge Connectors. It is fine to say Yes to this. |

What are chunky and planar displays? Simply put, the terms chunky and planar (short for bitplanar) refer to different ways of storing graphics information in a computer's memory. They are rather easy to understand, as far as things go, but incredibly difficult to explain: |

The goal of this project is to make a cheap and easy to build SPI adapter that connects to the parallel port of an Amiga. Furthermore, the performance of the adapter should be as fast as possible. |
