MHI Dev - The new standard in MPEG audio
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3286
MHI is a new standard for MPEG audio on the Amiga. It was created by Thomas Wenzel and Paul Qureshi, with help from Dirk Conrad, because current systems (mpega.library and the mpeg.device) do not offer the features modern applications such as AmigaAMP require. This archive contains everything you need to develop programs using MHI and MHI drivers for new hardware or software decoders. Please support MHI, we really think it's the best possible solution for playing MPEG audio on AmigaOS!

  Minimig
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3212
Minimig (short for Mini Amiga) is an open source re-implementation of an Amiga 500 using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Minimig started around January 2005 as a proof of concept by Dutch electrical engineer Dennis van Weeren. He intended Minimig as the answer to the ongoing discussions within the Amiga community on implementing the Amiga custom chipset using an FPGA. The project’s source code and schematics were released under version 3 of the GNU General Public Licence on 25 July 2007.

  P96 Driver Development
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3250
This document specifies the P96 interface between the rtg.library and the card and chip drivers. Graphics boards for the Amiga consist typically of two components: the Amiga expansion card with the glue logic and the optional video switch and a standard PC-VGA chip. The former interface is provided by the card driver, the latter by the chip driver. The rationale for this functional division is to ease support of similar graphics cards that share the same VGA chip, even though the glue logic on the board is different. The corresponding chip driver can be shared between boards.

  Pandory
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3302
The Pandory Mod is "sideloaded" firmware for the A500 mini which gives you full access to the machine and allows you to run native programs that enable many new game emulators, such as RetroArch. It comes in the form of a WHDLOAD package and exploits a hidden-feature of the A500 amiberry emulator to run native code. It runs completely from USB stick and is 100% removable.

  PatchWork
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3264
PatchWork is a debugging tool similar to MuForce and Mungwall. It asserts that calls to AmigaOS libraries are AutoDocs conformous. Illegal parameters (e.g. NULL where a pointer is expected) are reported. PatchWork helps you to make your code more robust and future proof. The source code was closed, like almost all of my Amiga projects. I have reviewed and reformatted the files, translated the comments from German to English, and made the project compilable on Linux (and probably other targets) using vbcc. The source is now open to everyone for contributing, studying, archiving, or just enjoying the good old Amiga times.

On this site you can find articles, downloads and more about my favourite computer types - the old homecomputers from Commodore. Mostly about the machines I owned and used back in the (late) 1980's and 1990's: the Commodore 64 and the Commodore Amiga 500. There is also a special section featuring the MOS 6502, the processor architecture which powered the Commodore 64 and quite a few more homecomputers from the early and mid 1980's and a section featuring articles about retro consoles and computers.

  Power Supply Saver AMIGA 500/600/1200
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3388
PROFESSIONAL POWER SAVER PROTECTION FOR: AMIGA 500, AMIGA 500+, AMIGA 600, AMIGA 1200. WORLWIDE EXPERIENCE: To date a couple of people have contacted me thanking me after their crazy Meanwell PSU failed the voltage went up :-O ... but with the OVP the AMIGA was saved ... the only thing burned were the two fuses of protection! OH YEAH! ;-)) This "Power Saver HQ" is different from ordinary protectors: it is professional . And it was created to protect all the Commodore AMIGA power supplies according to the list. The protection is complete for: +5 VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC. It is completely made of semiconductors with very fast intervention times 20us (microseconds!), no relay on board that would require long intervention times 200ms (milliseconds!). What does it means this time value? It means 10.000 time fasters then relay-based protections . This is the only way we can safely safeguard our Commodore vintage computer This electronic circuit allows to keep under control the voltages supplied by the AMIGA power supply by detecting anomalies on the correct value.
