  Converting a PC Floppy Drive to Amiga
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3221
  I recently purchased an external floppy drive the for the Amiga which was sold as “untested”. Unfortunately “untested” in this case meant “doesn’t work and someone did a bad attempt at repairing it”. There were parts of the drive physically broken and it was beyond repair. I lucked out because unlike the Rotec drive I repaired in the past, this one uses a standard floppy connector inside. So, instead I decided to convert a PC floppy drive to work in the case.

  Converting all my Amiga Disks..
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3223
  The time has come to finally get rid of all my 3.5"DD floppy disks.. they are taking up valuable cupboard space that I need back for shinier and more recent items. I know that some of them have data on that I'd like to keep, source I wrote back in the late 80's / early 90's.. midi files, soundtracker / octamed tunes.. The problem is figuring out which disks..

  Converting the “Competition Pro Extra USB” to C64/Amiga/Atari DB9
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3233
  Speedlink makes several versions of the Competition Pro joystick that have all the physical properties and the excellent switches of the original Competition Pro, but come with a USB interface. All versions of this joystick can be easily converted into an old-school DB9 joystick to work with Commodore, Amiga and Atari computers and consoles – optionally without giving up the USB interface!

  CVS Info for project wxwidget-aos
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3234
  The wxwidget-aos project's CVS data is in read-only mode, so the project may have switched over to another source-code-management system. To check, visit the Project Summary Page for wxwidget-aos and see if the menubar lists a newer code repository, such as SVN or Git.

  Decades of Fun: Computers Built to Last The Amiga as "a computer built to last 50 years"
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3396
  delightful piece about the author's ideal, long-lasting computational platform - precisely the thing I enjoy reading. It's got a nice blend of slow tech and libre computing advocacy mixed with personal ponderings centered around the computer as a tool for creativity and healthy interpersonal communication.

  Design of the GoFloppy Drive
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3209
  A couple of months ago I released a product called the GoFloppy Drive. It is the result of a long development process and I’m quite happy with the result. I typically design things that I would use myself, in the hope that it will also help others.

  Digital Images And The Amiga
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3324
  There was a time in the late 80s and early 90s where the Amiga was the standard for computer graphics. Remember SeaQuest? That was an Amiga. The intro to Better Call Saul? That’s purposefully crappy, to look like it came out of an Amiga. When it comes to the Amiga and video, the first thing that comes to mind is the Video Toaster, hardware and software that turns an Amiga 2000 into a nonlinear video editing suite. Digital graphics, images, and video on the Amiga was so much more than the Video Toaster, and at this year’s Vintage Computer Festival East, [Bill] and [Anthony] demonstrated what else the Amiga could do.

  Dossier: Hidden messages and Easter eggs in AmigaOS {French - translated}
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3329
  Hidden messages or easter eggs in the Amiga operating system are nothing new. The first hidden message was inserted as early as 1985 in a preview of the Kickstart ROM and this "tradition" continues until the very latest versions of AmigaOS.

  EZ-FD
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3448
  Allow standard PC floppy drives to be used with an Amiga. A small PCB designed to sit between the Amiga motherboard and the floppy drive. Based on the same idea as the EZ-DF0 that was sold by Eyetech many years ago. Testing shows it works well, though ATK shows a fluctuating RDY signal.

  Geit.de
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3372
  Later new Amiga compatible systems came and effected my daily computer usage. This also had an effect on Geit.de and the stuff I provided. In the beginning I used Amithlon on a Pentium3 with AmigaOS 3.9, while today I am using the Pegasos2 G4 1Ghz with MorphOS. The Pegasos system was also used as fallback webserver, when Geit.de was offline for some reason. Over the years Geit.de got tweaked and enlarged. I introduced the hardware section where I present my computer systems. Especially the home made hardware stuff was always loved by the Geit.de visitors. At least that is what I got from the access logs and the feedback.

  Graphics Tablets on the Amiga
  Author:   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 3336
  I’ve been working on my A1200 with a graphics tablet and have made a video on how to do this, a couple of the tablets that work, and some recommendations. During this process I’ve realised how hard it can be to hunt down all of the different drivers (some of which have never been on Aminet) I’ve collected them all together here, with thanks to everyone on EAB, and the guy in germany who sold me Tableau Pro. {Wacom}

  This repository contains the host tools for controlling Greaseweazle: Greaseweazle is a USB device and host tools allowing versatile floppy drive control. By extracting the raw flux transitions from a drive, any disk format can be captured and analysed: PC, Amiga, Amstrad, PDP-11, musical instruments, industrial equipment, and more. Greaseweazle also supports writing to floppy disks, from a range of image file formats including those commonly used for online preservation (ADF, IPF, DSK, IMG, HFE, ...).
